Slate Systems Inc DOES NOT share customer opt-in information, including phone numbers and consent records, with any affiliates or third parties for marketing, promotional, or any other purposes unrelated to providing our direct services. All text messaging originator opt-in data is kept strictly confidential.

1. Information We Collect

From you: Name, email, phone number, business name and address, industry, service areas, business hours, and payment information (processed by Stripe, we never store credit card numbers).

Automatically: Browser type, IP address, device info, pages visited, time on site, and cookies.

Your customers' data: As part of delivering our services, we process your customers' contact info, messaging history, appointments, and reviews. This data belongs to you. We act as a service provider (data processor), not the owner. We will never use your customers' data for our own marketing or share it with other clients. We may use anonymized, aggregated data (with no personally identifiable information) to improve our platform and services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and improve our services, set up your account and automations, process payments, send service-related communications, register your business for A2P messaging compliance, respond to support requests, monitor for security and fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

3. SMS Messaging and Compliance

Text Message Program Terms and Conditions

By opting into our SMS messaging services, you agree to receive text messages related to your account, appointments, onboarding updates, service communications, and promotional offers.

Opt-In and Consent:

  • You will only receive messages if you have explicitly opted in through our website forms
  • We maintain timestamped records of all opt-in actions
  • We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and all applicable laws

Opt-Out Instructions:

  • You can cancel SMS notifications at any time by replying "STOP"
  • You will receive a final confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent unless you re-opt in
  • All opt-out requests are processed immediately

Message Frequency and Content:

  • Message frequency varies based on your interactions with our business
  • Messages include onboarding updates, appointment reminders, service communications, tips, and promotional offers
  • We do not send promotional content without specific consent

SMS Data Protection Statement

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We implement strict data protection measures to safeguard your SMS opt-in information and consent records.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it with:

Service Providers:

  • Service providers who help deliver our services (Stripe for payments, telephony providers for calls/SMS, Google for Business Profile and Reviews, cloud providers for hosting), all contractually bound to protect your data.
  • SMS aggregators and providers solely for the purpose of delivering messages you have consented to receive.

Legal Compliance:

  • Legal authorities when required by law or regulation.

Business Transfers:

  • Business transfers in the event of a merger or acquisition (you will be notified).

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.

5. Data Retention and Export

  • While active: All data retained for the duration of your subscription.
  • After cancellation: Data kept for 30 days for export, then permanently deleted.
  • Billing records: Retained up to 7 years for tax/accounting compliance.
  • Export anytime: You can export your data through the platform at any time.

Your customers' data is never shared with other clients or used for marketing. We may use anonymized, aggregated platform data (with no personally identifiable information) to improve our services.

6. Data Security

We use encrypted data transmission, secure infrastructure, and access controls to protect your information. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected clients within 72 hours, describe the breach and data involved, outline remediation steps, and report to authorities as required by law.

No method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We strive to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights
